About Us

Planning, Design, and Construction staff provide architectural, engineering, and project management services to the University to ensure that the health, safety and welfare of students, faculty, staff and visitors is assured through excellent design and construction of all university campus and facility environments.

Our Goals

  • To serve as the University's source for planning, and design recommendations for the successful development of the built environment.
  • To ensure that all capital improvement projects are designed in accordance IHL requirements, University’s approved master plan, building codes, and governing laws
  • To ensure that the design and construction of the infrastructure essential to support campus functions is adequate to support the mission of the University and anticipated growth.
  • To serve as an advocate for the disabled and ensure the requirements of the American Disabilities Act are met or exceeded.
  • To ensure all construction projects are administered per the requirements of the construction documents.
  • To ensure all projects are designed with sustainability and energy conservation in mind.
