Barr Avenue Street Closure

The eastern end of Barr Avenue as shown in the image below is scheduled to be closed for construction on July 5, 2006, and to reopen on July 21, 2006.

This closure is part of the Coliseum Boulevard extension from George Perry Street to Barr Avenue and East Lee Boulevard (a link can be found on the "Other Projects non Closure" section of the Construction Projects web page).

This closure will prevent traffic on East Lee Boulevard from traveling west on Barr Avenue and vice versa. As an alternate, motorists should access campus via Highway 182 and George Perry Street.

Students residing in Sessums Hall should be aware of a change to the entrance to the parking lot behind Sessums Hall. The current entrance to the parking lot will be closed-in, and the new entrance will be at the east lot behind Hillbun Hall, which will be connected to the Sessums Hall lot (see second image below).
